Penthouse source premium yarns, natural jute backing and take care throughout the manufacturing process to consistently deliver the trademark Penthouse quality for 50 years. Combining modern manufacturing techniques and traditional values forms the foundation for them to continue to deliver the very best for many years to come. Penthouse quality – naturally.

They are passionate about using only the finest raw materials to create carpets of exceptional quality. From sourcing premium yarns and natural jute backing, to the care they take throughout the manufacturing process.

They carry out no less than six individual quality checks before being confident that you’ll love your carpet.

The vast majority of wool rich tufted carpets now have a synthetic backing. However, at Penthouse Carpets have retained a more traditional approach.

Only using natural jute backing on all woollen carpets. Jute is the golden silky fibre produced from the stems of the Corchorus plant, which has been cultivated in India and Bangladesh for centuries, and is the mostly widely used natural fibre after cotton.

Integrating the fabric woven from this sustainable natural fibre into carpets is not only better for the environment; it’s easier for your fitter to work with too; being flexible, strong and resilient, gives a superb finish even on tricky areas like your staircase.
